Well, we went in to Abbott yesterday (Friday) b/c of some side effects of high BP & found out that my platelets are lower than desirable... they had us come back this morning as scheduled & prescribed bed rest in the meantime.
Today (& yesterday) babies are both doing great! Today's blood work wasn't changed much from yesterday so back to the couch. I get to spend the weekend lying down... I can get up to use the restroom & shower. That's it - bed rest sucks for a girl like me!
Jorgen has his vital signs monitor set up next to the bed & is making sure that I do not get up more than I should. My BP has come down closer to normal!. He is also doing a great job of waiting on me - running me errands for ridiculous food & cooking said foods for me! a
We go back in on Monday & they'll run all of the same tests again. If all remains the same, we'll probably be sent back home for a couple of days of bed rest & start all over again.
Thursday will be 36 weeks for us & getting to that point will make a huge difference for the girls. If we deliver before that point, we'll have to have a neonatologist, a respiratory doc & 1 more that I forget the name or purpose in the delivery room for each baby. If we make it to the 36 week mark, the chances of needing any of those is dramatically reduced so new life goal = Thursday!
